New Arrivals
|
|
|
We
start all our foals by training them to lead and trailer load after
they are weaned from Momma. Then if they are going to be shown
we start them trotting, after that we take them through the obstacle
course even if they will only be shown in Halter. It gets them used
to different objects and scary things. Of course that doesn't mean
they will trot into the ring the first time they go to a show.
That's a pretty scary place with a lot of new sights and smells
(usually big horses and mules!) for them to absorb. |

We have
two more jennets
due this spring and five due this fall. Gabby is due April 12th and Beauty is due May 22nd. Both are bred to Czar. Lily is expecting the last Cajun foal....Frank is looking forward to that one! She is bred for September 18th. Noel is bred to Sparky for a September foal. Belle is bred to Sparky for an October foal. Glace is bred to Sparky for an October foal and Nolane is bred to Sparky for a November foal. |

Miss Alred had her
foal!! 10/10/07 @ 6:30 A.M......we put her under the barn cam and
stayed awake most of the night thinking she would foal at any
moment. Then around six she finally laid down and got to work. He
was born at 6:30 with some help from Frank. He is a dark sorrel with
a very tiny star. Well, he has at least a dozen white hairs!! He was
twenty inches tall with his booties on. He was scooting right under
his mommas stomach right after he was born. He may be for sale later on!!! |

Miss Alred had a
tiny red jack!!!! Exactly one year from her first breeding!! We
would not have this boy and maybe not Miss Alred either!!!! if not
for Doc Loudamy talking us through it. A BIG THANK
YOU!!!!!! to Kathy!!!! And of course the Good Lord for answering our
prayers!!!!! His name is SparksaFire and he
was 19.5" when he was a few hours old. He is wide and he is
straight! I think he is going to have any thing he wants around
here!! Sorry!! Not for sale!!
