Now we know why Fannie and her foals are so nice.

Grand Sire: LN. Redsonnehi, 31.5" Dk. Red
Grand Dam: LN Della Dee, 33.5" Brown/Gray-dun

Miss Alred is a dark red jennet that will be an outstanding addition to our herd. She is 28.5" at a year old and has that 'look at me' attitude. Her full sister, Beacon, was NE State Fair Reserve Champion and was 1st in the Mini-Jennets Class at the MN State Show as a yearling.
Miss Alred has really matured into a fine jennet and has been bred to Short Assets Fireplug for a 2006 foal. We will be anxiously awaiting this foal.

Update!!!!  Miss Alred had a tiny red jack!!!! Exactly one year from her first breeding!!

His name is SparksaFire and he was 19.5" when he was a few hours old. He is wide and he is straight! I think he is going to have any thing he wants around here!! See the new arrival page to see more photos of him.

Miss Alred has been bred to Short Assets Stars War for an October, 2007 foal. He was 2004 NMDA National Champion Jack, 2004 NMDA Best of Breed and he was the 2004 NMDA Coon Jumping Champion!

Miss Alred had her foal!! 10/10/07 @ 6:30 A.M......we put her under the barn cam and stayed awake most of the night thinking she would foal at any moment. Then around six she finally laid down and got to work. He was born at 6:30 with some help from Frank. He is a dark sorrel with a very tiny star. Well, he has at least a dozen white hairs!! He was twenty inches tall with his booties on. He was scooting right under his mommas stomach right after he was born.

What a sweetheart!!!

We are very proud to add this lovely jennet to our breeding program. Nolane is a full sister to Miss Red Ant, '98 ADMS National Reserve Champion Jennet and her dam is a maternal half sister to Foxworthy. Her color is the deepest and prettiest shade of red in the breed. She is one classy girl with her beautiful color, her great full pedigree, and her wonderful conformation. Her full brother, Red  Glo,  is one of the herd sires at the Nissen Ranch in Iowa. She and our Russian Czar (true black) should produce some outstanding foals.

Noel, Nolane's first foal, will join our brood jennets this fall.

Golddigger, her second foal now resides at Dogwood Hills Farm.

Nolane has been bred to Russian Czar for an April 2006 foal.

Nolane has a bag!!! Her foal is due April 20th!!

WOW!!! Nolane surprised us with a foal this morning!! As you can see she usually has dark brown babies with no light points. This little girl has liver colored eye rings, nose and feet like sorrels usually have when they are born, and so far we don't see a stripe!
Leah Patton from ADMS says that Jazzberry is a black roan and sure enough there are white hairs poking through that black hair. Her body is black with absolutely no stripe. Her face is very unusual with all different colors...red, black, white. Even her legs have a lot of  roaning. We should have named her Kaleidoscope!!

Go to new arrival page to see more photos!

Nolane is bred to Flight Of Fancy Cardinal R.G. for a early June foal!!!
Nolane had a gorgeous dark red jennet, 5/31/07!!!! Razzberry Sizzle.

Beauty came to us from Sunset Acres. Her last foal, Raven's Fire... is jet black with light points. Proud papa is Russian Czar. She has been bred to our spotted jr. herd sire, KKR Cajun, for an October, 2005 foal. Since Beauty's dam is mostly white and Cajun has dark brown spots in his pedigree...hmmmmm...maybe we'll get a dark. spot? We sure hope so.

Beauty has started a bag!! We are so excited to see Cajun's first foal!!  She is due October 13th and she usually goes the distance so we don't have long to wait!
